I woke up from the strangest dream:
I was at a restaurant with my niece, Tonya. She introduced me to two of her black friends, and as I reached out to shake the hand of her first friend, I spilled my alcoholic beverage on his bible. I apologized and told him I would go through his bible and clean every page soaked by the spill. The guy came across as very strict.
I looked up the meaning of various symbols in the dream:
Niece: To see your niece in your dream represents some aspect of yourself that you need to acknowledge or recognize within yourself. African American: To see an African American in your dream signifies your roots and heritage. You may need to discover the soul within yourself. Alternatively, the dream may mean you must be more expressive and creative. Alcohol: The dream may be a metaphor for “spirits” and your need for spiritual enrichment. Spill: To dream that you spill something represents your carelessness and consideration of someone’s feelings. You are not paying enough attention to those around you and, as a result, are offending and upsetting them. Bible: To see or read the bible in your dream symbolizes truth, belief, inspiration, and knowledge. Cleaning: To dream that you are cleaning implies that you are removing some negativity in your life and overcoming significant obstacles. You are moving ahead toward a new stage in your life.
My dream represented the 72 Names of God meditations, changing my negative views of the Bible as a young man.
Initially, I intended to drive to the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, approximately three hours northwest of Las Cruces. When I discovered that the drive included sixteen miles of sharp, hairpin curves without guardrails, I decided against it. I didn’t want to put my van or myself through the stress. Instead, I opted to drive to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, which was only an hour north.
“Originally named Hot Springs, the city changed its name to Truth or Consequences, the title of a popular NBC radio program. In 1950, Ralph Edwards, the host of the radio quiz show Truth or Consequences, announced that he would air the program from the first town that renamed itself after the show. Hot Springs won the honor. Edwards visited the town during the first weekend of May for the next fifty years. This event was called “Fiesta” and included a beauty contest, a parade, and a stage show. The city still celebrates Fiesta each year on the first weekend of May. The parade generally features area celebrities such as the Hatch Chile Queen. Fiesta also features a dance in Ralph Edwards Park.”
My arrival into Truth or Consequences placed me back on the 33rd Parallel.

The drive from Las Cruces was very windy but otherwise uneventful.
When I arrived in town, I made a beeline to Riverbend Hot Springs. I purchased a 50-minute soak in my private tub right next to the Rio Grande River. It was just what I needed. During my allotted time, I performed my Farewell To Arms meditation, soaked in the hot tub, and warmed my body in the sun.
In between all of that, I did a small ceremony for a friend of mine who was pregnant and having a difficult time dealing with a sick family member. I knew that mental stress could have an adverse psychological effect on the unborn child, so I prayed that an aura of protection be placed around my friend and her unborn baby throughout her pregnancy.
I then channeled the divine and asked that the sick family member, who was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, please cut the cord that was causing the stress in the relationship. As soon as I finished cutting the cords, a vulture drifted outside my space.
Vulture brings the following medicine:
- Death/rebirth,
- purification,
- prophecy,
- wisdom about a loved one who is deceased.
The vulture’s sighting led me to believe that my prayers had been answered. Once I completed my session, I checked out of my room and walked around the courtyard.
Afterward, I walked down to the Rio Grande to offer the stone that I had brought from the Three Rivers Petroglyph site to the river. I then asked permission to take a different stone from the river for my next destination.
TEST YOUR INTUITION: From the image below, try to figure out which stone I chose to take to my next destination. The stone will be revealed the following day. The stone with the red dot is the stone I left behind.
After I borrowed the stone, I walked back to my van. Before I pulled away, I was mesmerized by the images painted on this teepee.
I continued my day by visiting several shops in the downtown area.
My favorite shop was the Welty Art Gallery. She had some fantastic art. I especially connected with a black marble animal fetish necklace priced at $95.00. These necklaces usually have some theme and are often used for protection. I asked the gallery owner to hold it for me for a couple of days while I decided if I could afford it.
Before I departed downtown, I met an older, retired gentleman who worked for the police department. He patrolled downtown on a bicycle. He saw the North Carolina license plate on my van’s back and started a conversation with me. We talked for approximately 30 minutes.
During our conversation, he said the strangest thing: “Did you know that Truth or Consequences sits on the 33rd Parallel, as does the coastline directly south of Wilmington, North Carolina?”
I looked at him in disbelief. I had a hard time believing that he had made that statement. I then informed him that I had been following the 33rd Parallel across the United States, which led me to Truth or Consequences. He just smiled at me. We ended the conversation several minutes later, and I pulled away, absolutely stunned by his question. At this moment, I wondered if this man was one of my guardian angels who had appeared briefly as a human being to let me know that he was watching over me. It was the strangest thing.
I departed Las Cruces a few hours before sunset. While driving south on Interstate 25, I saw the hawk circling over a field in a valley to the west. Sunlight bounced off the top of its wings as it circled over a nearby orchard.
I made it back to Las Cruces just as the sun was setting.
After a nice dinner at Outback Steakhouse, I drove to Starbucks to work on my computer. That’s when I took the following photo of the moon and a star, which I’m sure was a planet, probably Venus.
I caught up on some freelance work and finally went to bed around 11:00 PM.
