August 13, 2012
I woke up at 7:00 AM to a very cloudy, Colorado sky. After breakfast, I drove to a nearby auto mechanic. I noticed that the battery gauge was registering a little high, and a strange noise came from the engine. After a quick look, the mechanic thought that perhaps my alternator was going bad. Since some of the highways between Cortez and Phoenix were somewhat deserted and had no cell phone service, I did not want to risk my van breaking down on the way home, so I scheduled an appointment to replace it the following morning.
However, I took a leap of faith, took a chance on the failing alternator, and drove forty-five minutes out into the desert to complete my third meditation at the Four Corners Monument. Pulling into the monument, I noticed two crows flying beside my van. After I paid my $3.00 entry fee, I parked my van and headed to the Arizona side of the monument.
Wasting no time, I stood in Arizona, looked across the plaza towards Colorado, and invoked the “Absolute Certainty” angel between 9:20 and 9:40 AM.
While I was performing my invocation, I noticed some very gentle sun rays peering through a group of clouds overhead.
I dedicated this particular mediation to the third Hopi Tiponi Tablet: Myrrh.

Hopi Tablet No. 3: Myrrh
The following is the young man’s deciphering of the third Hopi tablet:
FRONT PANEL – The four human figures are the four worlds. – The animal and planet figures in the center represent the symbiosis or kingdom of heaven.
BACK PANEL – The large human figure represents a complete man or the fifth world.
In his video, he mentions the two symbols listed below. The first symbol represents Jerusalem or the old Four Corners mentioned in the Bible. The second symbol represents the 3 Mesas at Hopi, considered the new Four Corners or the new Jerusalem.
Once again, I found this information fascinating. Coupled with the crystal, my friend gifted me back on August 1…
This was the main reason for continuing my journey here. I felt like the two went hand-in-hand.
After I completed my meditation, I browsed through the items at the various Native American booths on the Arizona side of the plaza and, after much deliberation, decided to purchase a Four-Color Quilled Medicine Wheel. I was “certain” that this piece would make a great addition to my collection.
With my Medicine Wheel in hand and meditation behind me, I returned to my van and headed back to Cortez. While driving down what had become a very familiar stretch of highway, I noticed two more crows sitting on the side of the road. I had the feeling that the spirits were keeping an eye on me.
I knew that the Four Corners area was very sacred to the different tribes in the Native American community, so I had to be very respectful of their land while trespassing. The crows reminded me to be aware of my thoughts and intentions. I passed a black dog running alongside the highway at about that time.
Dog offered the following messages:
- love,
- friendship,
- protection,
- loyalty,
- sensing trouble from a distance.
The messages from the Dog confirmed my suspicions about the crows. I arrived safely back in Cortez and spent the rest of the day working on my computer at McDonald’s. While searching for something to do that evening, I came across a flier announcing the Navajo’s Rainbow Dancers at the Cortez Cultural Center between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. I decided to attend.
Before they began their dance, they invoked the Creator in their native tongue, and as soon as the dancers walked out onto the plaza, I noticed that the wind picked up…

, and drops of rain began to fall. And out of nowhere, many vultures appeared in the sky overhead. I had never in my life seen so many vultures at one time.
Vulture offers the following wisdom:
- purification,
- new vision,
- prophecy,
- death/rebirth.
I couldn’t help but wonder what all of this meant. My intuition told me something significant had occurred or was about to. I left the Navajo dancers and went to the Cortez Recreation Center for a quick shower. Then, I went back to the Walmart parking lot for another night of camping in my van.
As usual, I went to bed around 10:00 PM.
