INTRODUCTION
On April 15, 2026, Madonna announced July 3 as the release date for her album titled Confessions II. Two days later, she made a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set at Coachella Weekend 2. Madonna sang a snippet of “Get Together.“ “Yes, I really want to be with you!”
CONFESSION No. 1
Madonna released “I Feel So Free” the day after her Coachella performance, inviting everyone to rejoin her on the dance floor. The lyrics “Been so lonely I can’t take any more,” at the 3:15:22-minute mark, summed up my life perfectly. (Click the image below to watch the video.)
As for the song being relatable, my story revealed a different persona than most people knew me for. Although my story had been online and accessible for over 20 years, the people who knew about it didn’t take the time to read it. I didn’t promote it or speak about the details publicly, or push the content on anyone; it had been hiding in the shadows for decades.
I absolutely loved this song with all my being. This song took me back to the very beginning when it was Madonna’s music, the dance floor, and me doing everything I could to survive.
When this album came out, I was 65 years old, living in a small coastal town in North Carolina with one small dance club. This music did tempt me to get out of the house and into a nightclub. Suddenly, I missed my younger, adventurous days living in a large city with great nightclubs.
Oh, by the way, it all started like this!
CONFESSION No. 2
On the morning of April 30, 2026, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter released their single, “Bring Your Love.” The Lyrics “I made the sacrifice” at the 2:31-minute mark fell perfectly into place, and the song was a great response to anyone judging the ideas, purpose, and meaning behind my odyssey. Coincidentally, this song inspired me to write about some things I never took the time to mention. Some of those things were summed up perfectly in this song.
The first thing was that, aside from the challenge I had placed on myself in 2004, the reason behind writing my story was multi-leveled. I wrote it for God, Madonna, my higher self, and anyone who wanted to read it. It felt like it was my life’s mission, a higher calling, so I didn’t question it; I wrote the story.
I began writing this story in 2004 to show a friend how Madonna’s music aligned with events that occurred in my life. I liked what I started with so much that I told myself that if I continued writing, it could turn into something that would eventually make me enough money to buy a home like the one that was taken away from me, which would have been a great way to right an injustice and get a little payback at the same time. (See You’ll See) Without thinking everything out completely, I hoped that I could tap into some of Madonna’s financial abundance and fame.
Then, as my story unraveled, so did my motives. My intentions turned into something completely different and kept evolving. It became more of a vision quest; I eventually found my true north.
And it was worth mentioning that while I borrowed certain ideas and concepts from various sources, it probably showed that I never studied the Bible or practiced Christianity, the Torah or Judaism, Kabbalah, Freemasonry, astrology, had access to hidden Hopi knowledge, or any other theology or fraternal belief system. I worked with what appeared in my path in a way that felt right to me, but I was no way an expert in any of these fields. Not even close.
I also realized that, in my ignorance, I probably performed some of the prayers and rituals incorrectly along the way. At no point was I trying to be disrespectful to anyone’s religion or spiritual practice; I was only trying to follow my own soul’s path and do things the way I felt led. That said, the prayers and rituals I performed were right for me. They appeared to work.
And, going on the concept that karma and sin are ignorance or the lack of understanding of the essential nature of life and where happiness and suffering derive from, my sin, karma, and ignorance were my own. My sins, karma, and the mysteries of life revealed themselves as time unwound around me. And I was fortunate enough to live long enough to become a bit wiser and less sinful.
One of the hardest life lessons to learn was that although my judgment about why someone hurt or betrayed me may have been accurate, it was foolish for me to sit around waiting for an apology from someone who had already let me down once. It was a waste of time hoping their apology would heal me; whether they apologized was on them, not me. That lesson, in turn, was learning how to heal on my own.

I always found myself in between two realms during this adventure: the realm of spirituality and the realm of the material world. At times, I spent way too much time in the spiritual realm, ignoring the material completely. I still hoped that my story would somehow, someday, turn into something much bigger than this website, but in the meantime, balancing these two realms came down to where I placed my happiness.
True balance meant finding ways to use the material world to support my human experience, while rooting my sense of purpose, truth, peace, and soul identity in spirituality. I eventually learned that I didn’t have to pick one over the other, but I always had more faith in the spiritual than the material. I always held onto that. In the end, my spirituality and faith delivered survival, adventure, creativity, joy, and the magic of music.

When it came down to it, however, the answer was pure and simple: “I did it all for love,“ which I had posted on Instagram on February 6, 2023.
Madonna, although very mysterious to me on a deep, personal level, wrote the soundtrack to my life for over forty years. I knew the same could be said for thousands of other people who connected with her music.
