INTRODUCTION V
BRING YOU LOVE
On the morning of April 30, 2026, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter released their single, “Bring Your Love.” The Lyrics “I made the sacrifice” at the 2:31 mark fell perfectly into place, and the song was a great response to anyone judging the ideas, purpose, and meaning behind my odyssey.

This song prompted me to write about things I never took the time to mention. My main challenge in writing this story was to get through all 22 Major Arcana Tarot cards, one for each year. I wrote it for God or my higher self, Madonna, and anyone who wanted to read it. It felt like it was my life’s mission, a higher calling, so I didn’t question it; I wrote the story.
I began writing this story in 2004 to show a friend how Madonna’s music aligned with events that occurred in my life. I liked what I started with so much that I told myself that if I continued writing, it could turn into something that would eventually make me enough money to buy a home like the one that was taken away from me, which would have been a great way to right an injustice and get a little payback at the same time. (See You’ll See) I also thought it would be cool to tap into some of Madonna’s fame and financial influence.
BRING YOU LOVE, MADONNA. I’VE GOT SOMETHING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT.
Then, as my story unraveled, so did my motives. My intentions turned into something completely different and kept evolving. It became more of a vision quest as I eventually found my true north.
And it was worth mentioning that while I borrowed certain ideas and concepts from various sources, it probably showed that I never studied the Bible or practiced Christianity, the Torah or Judaism, Kabbalah, Freemasonry, astrology, had access to hidden Hopi knowledge, or any other theology or fraternal belief system. I worked with what appeared in my path in a way that felt right to me, but I was no way an expert in any of these fields. Not even close.
I also realized that, in my ignorance, I probably performed some of the prayers and rituals incorrectly along the way. At no point was I trying to disrespect anyone’s religion or spiritual practice; I was only trying to follow my own soul’s path and do things the way I felt led. That said, the prayers and rituals I performed were right for me and appeared to work.

I always found myself between two realms during this adventure: spirituality and the material world. At times, I spent way too much time in the spiritual realm, ignoring the material completely. I still hoped my story would somehow, someday, turn into something much bigger than this website, but in the meantime, balancing these two realms came down to where I placed my happiness.
True balance meant finding ways to access the material world to support my human experience, while rooting my sense of purpose, truth, peace, and soul identity in metaphysics and spirituality. I eventually learned I didn’t have to choose one over the other, but I always had more faith in the spiritual than the material. My spiritual connection with nature was extremely important to me.
In the end, my spirituality and faith delivered survival, adventure, creativity, joy, and the magic of music, but I couldn’t have done it without the material.

When it came down to it, the answer was simple: “I did it all for love,” a sentiment reflected in a post made on Instagram February 6, 2023.
Madonna, although very mysterious to me on a deep, personal level, wrote the soundtrack to my life for over forty years. I knew the same could be said for thousands of other people who connected with her music. I wondered if anyone else had honored that connection or brought their love into a piece of art that took 22 years to finish.
