January 4, 2015—9:54 PM
On Saturday, December 13, 2014 (12/13/14), I witnessed an amazing sight after stepping outside Trader Joe’s at the Town and Country shopping center at 4821 North 20th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016. It was a double rainbow! What was so amazing about this particular rainbow, besides the fact that it took place on 12/13/14, was that the rainbow’s end pointed directly to the south end of the park where I performed my ceremonies.
At this point in my journey, I was growing impatient with the time between each full moon ceremony, so the rainbow appeared at the perfect time. It inspired me to remain focused and patient and to keep pushing forward no matter how distracted I became between each ceremony. The rainbow renewed my faith that my journey had a purpose. The next day, I noticed something that I had not seen previously. The park where I performed my prayers was also visible from the front door of my apartment. I’m not sure how I missed that for so long.
On Monday, December 15, 2014, I was astonished by yet another natural phenomenon I had never seen before a halo around the Sun, also known as a nimbus, ice bow, or gloriole.
It was so beautiful. I couldn’t stop staring at it. On Sunday, December 21, 2015, several days later, the Winter Solstice arrived at 4:03 PM. It was the beginning of the Hopi New Year. Two and half hours after that, at precisely 06:36:15 PM, the new moon took place. New visions and change were the order of the day.
The next day, December 22, 2014, my oldest niece flew in from North Carolina to spend Christmas with me. I picked her up at the Phoenix airport around 7:00 PM. We spent the next week visiting Hopi, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and other parts of Arizona.
Tuesday, December 23, 2014: We left Phoenix around 4:00 PM and drove 2 hours to Flagstaff, Arizona, to pick up groceries to take to Ahote and Tuwa at Hopi. It was very cold and very windy in Flagstaff. We continued for two more hours to Hopi Land, arriving around 9:00 PM. We stayed in room 117 at the Hopi Cultural Center.
Wednesday, December 24, 2014: We had breakfast at the Hopi Cultural Center and met with Ahote and Tuwa in their Hopi home in the Hopi village Mishongovi on the Second Mesa. As requested, we brought two tin garbage cans with lids (to store their corn), a cassette tape player/recorder, and various food items and beverages. Additionally, my niece purchased several things from them, including rattles, arrows, Christmas ornaments, leather wristbands, and a small hand-weaved basket. Ahote then took us on a tour of his village. We learned the old Hopi ways of descending and ascending the Mesas to collect water. He also showed us the plaza where they performed all their dance ceremonies. And we even got to walk past several Kivas. We then went back inside, and Ahote shared some Hopi stories with my niece, and Tuwa shared several loaves of Piki bread. They also gave us both gifts to open on Christmas morning. We left their home around 2:00 PM. I took my niece on a tour of all three mesas, and then we drove 1.5 hours to Tuba City, where we checked in at the Legacy Inn, room 123.
I never imagined having the opportunity to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Hopi, so this trip to Hopi with my niece was a surprise. It was strange how everything fell into place at the very last minute. The entire trip had a strong sense of fate around it.
Although the Hopi didn’t celebrate Christmas on a religious level, I couldn’t help but wonder if the days following the Winter Solstice each year had some special meaning for them spiritually. If so, I wondered if the Orion constellation and the three stars in Orion’s Belt also connected to this part of the year for them.
Strangely enough, while my niece and I were spending Christmas at Hopi, two comets, LOVEJOY and FINLAY, made their way through our solar system. Both comets were visible from the northern hemisphere. The mantra, “As above, so below,” kept running through my mind when I realized this.
Thursday, December 25, 2014: We woke up around 9:00 AM. We opened our gifts from Ahote and Tuwa, and I was excited to receive a very large rattle. Instinctively, I knew I was supposed to use this rattle during my next Blood Moon ceremony scheduled for April 2015 at Hopi. (Click here to remember my dream from November 3, 2014.)
After breakfast, we left the hotel and headed to the Grand Canyon. When we arrived at the Grand Canyon approximately 1.5 hours later, it was snowing, and the wind was blowing very hard. After visiting the Hopi, I knew that rain or snow was a great omen, so I took this as a positive sign that everything went well with our visit.
After we paid our entrance fee, we stopped at the first overlook and walked down to the edge of the Grand Canyon to take a look. It was very cold, windy, and snowy. We spent about an hour in the Grand Canyon village before seeing the IMAX movie, The Grand Canyon – Hidden Secrets, at the National Geographic theater. We left the Grand Canyon later that afternoon and drove to Flagstaff, Arizona, before continuing to Sedona, Arizona, for the night.
Friday, December 26, 2014: We woke up, ate at the restaurant in the lobby, and then headed over to the Sky Ranch Lodge to visit their patio overlooking parts of Sedona. We then headed downtown and shopped at Clear Creek Trading. We bought some Sage, beads, string, and a postcard. We spent about an hour here before heading to the Coffee Pot Restaurant for breakfast. Eggs Benedict! Yummy! After breakfast, we left Sedona and headed to Montezuma’s Well State Park for a small ceremony in the well’s waters to thank the Ahote and Tuwa for their generosity. Later that night, after returning safely to Phoenix, we drove around town looking at Christmas lights.
I even brought her to the store where I did card readings and healings, A Peace of the Universe, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
My niece returned to North Carolina two days later.
Three days after my niece returned to North Carolina, 2015 arrived. The first message that I received was that my best friend’s mother had passed away that morning in her home in Whitsett, North Carolina. She had been sick for quite some time, so this wasn’t a complete surprise, but it was an unusual way to start the new year.
If there was ever an angel that walked the face of the earth, his mother was that angel. I spent several days exchanging phone calls and text messages with him. Due to a lack of funds, I could not attend his mother’s funeral, scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2015, the date of the next full moon.
At 1:00 AM on January 4, 2015, I began preparing my 2014 taxes. My income for 2014 had been $4,300.00. I was suddenly reminded how much I had “let go” since February 2010. My annual income went from $60,000 in 2009 to this. To say that my situation was bleak was an understatement, but at the same time, I had to accept responsibility for how things had turned out at this stage of my journey. It was my choices that led me here. I continued volunteering as a Property Manager in exchange for a free place to live so I could spend time with the Hopi.
Whenever I thought about looking for a job, all I could think was that no one would hire a 53-year-old man who hadn’t had a job in five years. At times, it felt like I was walking on a very narrow cliff, and I could stumble and fall to my death at any moment. It was a constant challenge to let go of the fear and trust that the Creator would care for my needs while on this journey. So far, so good.
As I worked through the fear, I continued onward. I realized it was time to release the full moon prayers 5 through 9 out into the Universe. I did this by burning them. As the smoke came off the burning pieces of paper, I asked the Creator to hear my prayers.
A few minutes after my brief fire ceremony, I headed to Dreamy Draw Park. It was 3:33 PM. Before I pulled out of the driveway, one of the hawks in the neighborhood flew by my apartment and landed in a nearby tree. This sign was a good omen for me.
After I parked my van in the parking lot, I made my way to the top of the mountain. During my hike, I repeated the mantra;
The Father and I are one.
I stand before thee in the Light of the Christ.
For I am Light
I am Light
I am that Light.
Once I reached the top, I placed both feet on the embedded crystals, greeted the six directions with the I am Light mantra, and then performed my invocation and meditation, this time using a completely different meditation than the first nine.
The Great Invocation: From the point of Light within the mind of God, let Light stream forth into the minds of all humankind. ( Especially those that believe they hold all the #power on the earth. ) Let Light descend on Earth. From the point of Love within the Heart of God, let Love stream forth into the hearts of humankind. ( Especially those who have never known true love before. ) May humankind return Christ’s Consciousness to the earth? From the center where the Will of God is known, let purpose guide the little wills of humankind… The purpose which the #Masters know and serve. From the center, which we call the race of humankind, let the plan of Love and Light work out. And may it seal the door where #evil lives.
LUNAR PRAYER
Heavenly Creator, we ask you for your love and advice. We ask that you bless us with an open heart, a clear mind, and a pure spirit so that we may serve you and live in harmony with every creature on Earth and all living beings throughout the Universe. Please allow us to open our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your infinite, unconditional love and compassion. With gratitude. Amen.
TWIN HEARTS LUNAR PRAYER Portions of this prayer were inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui and his Twin Hearts Meditations for Pranic Healing
- Tap the top of your head to bring attention to your crown chakra
- Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
- Relax. While slowly counting to 7, inhale peace, love, and light through your mouth and into your body and spirit.
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
- While slowly counting to 7, exhale all anger, resentment, and negativity through your nose.
- Once again, hold your breath for 7 seconds.
(Repeat this exercise two more times. Relax and breathe normally at the end of the third breathing exercise.)
Then, raise your hands to chest level with your palms facing outwards. Imagine all the people you love in front of you as you channel God’s loving energy through your crown chakra, directing this loving energy through the palms of your hands. Shower everyone you know and love with this beautiful, loving energy. Hold that thought, then imagine the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, and all of the stars in the Universe in front of you as you project waves of this beautiful, loving energy throughout the Universe. Imagine these beautiful waves of energy touching every living thing in Heaven and on Earth. Hold this thought for several moments. Then, bring your attention back to Planet Earth.
Repeat the following prayer silently in your mind;
“Dear Heavenly Creator, I pray that all stones, plants, animals, and beings born on Planet Earth prepare for a significant re-balancing and purification. I also pray for all the creatures of the seas, land, and air and ask that they all return to perfect health.
I pray that you, the Creator, recognize the fact that Planet Earth and all of its inhabitants have a lot of nurturing and Love to offer, not only to the Earth but also to the other planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I ask that all of the Unconditional Love on Earth be sent out into our Solar System and Universe.
I send out a prayer asking all of our ancestors from the heavens and the stars to return to Mother Earth to help with the re-balancing. I let them know that the time is now. I ask that the purification take place in a non-judgmental manner and that the energy of Unconditional Love is present at all times.”
Repeat the Buddhist Prayers for the Earth as you focus on the following areas of the Earth to help cleanse and prepare the Earth for healing:
- While projecting the color indigo and concentrate on the third-eye chakra, the space between your eyes, place your consciousness at the Hopi Indian Reservation and say: “May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be free from illness.“
- Then, project violet through your crown chakra while focusing on Tibet. Then say: “May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.“
- Now, focus on the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Mound of Olives. Project the color blue through your throat chakra and say, “May the powerless find power, and may people befriend one another with love.”
- Then, move your attention to Mount Shasta, California, project red through your root chakra or the area at the base of your spine, and say: “May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wildernesses—the children, the aged, the unprotected—be guarded by beneficent celestials..”
- Then travel in your mind to Ayers Rock & the Olgas in Australia. Project yellow through your solar plexus chakra, the area between your ribs, and say: “We reverently pray for eternal harmony in the universe.“
- Then, return your consciousness across the Pacific Ocean to Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. Project orange through your navel chakra and say: “May the weather be seasonable, may the harvest be fruitful, may countries exist in harmony, and may all people enjoy happiness.“
- Then travel in your mind to Glastonbury, Scotland. Project the color green through your heart chakra and say: “Evoking the presence of great compassion, let us fill our hearts with our compassion—towards ourselves and all living beings.“
- Return your attention to the Great Pyramids and the Mound of Olives while projecting blue out of your throat chakra and say: “Let us pray that all living beings realize that they are all brothers and sisters, all nourished from the same source of life.“
- Return your attention to Tibet, project the color violet through your crown chakra, and say: “May all beings everywhere be happy, peaceful, and free. “
- Then, return your consciousness to Hopi, project indigo through your third-eye chakra, and say: “We gently caress you, the Earth, our planet, and our home.“
- Then, finally, focus on the entire Earth and say, “Our vision has brought us closer to you, making us aware of the harm we have done to the life network upon which we depend. We are reminded that we have poisoned your waters, lands, and air. We have filled you with the bones of our dead from war and greed. Your pain is our pain. Touching you gently, we pray that we may become peace-bringers and life-bringers so that our home in its journey around the Sun will not become sterile and lonely. May this prayer and its power last forever.”
Then, sit quietly for 7 minutes. Breathe slowly and silently, repeating “Om” or “Amen” while projecting waves of unconditional love throughout the earth, the solar system, and the universe. Relax and just let go. After 7 minutes, return your consciousness to your body and its location on the earth. Take several deep breaths, then close with the following prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Creator, we humbly thank you for your love and affection. We thank you for blessing us with a loving heart, intelligent mind, and willful spirit so that we may now go forward and serve you and live in harmony with every living creature on the earth and throughout the universe. Thank you for opening our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your unconditional love and compassion. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, Amen.” – Prayers and Meditations inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui.
Once again, while praying, I envisioned myself in the center of a large torus field. Once my ceremony was complete, I retrieved a loaf of Piki bread my niece had left me and offered it to the Sun. As I crumbled the loaf of bread and watched the crumbs fall onto the crystals embedded in the mountain, the following unscripted words came out of my mouth, “Feed the Earth!“
I closed out my ceremony and then hung around for the sunset. At this point, I directed my prayers to the spirit of my best friend’s mother. During my prayer, I asked that her spirit let go of all the worldly possessions she may have held so dear to her heart during her time on Earth so she could move into the Light and be completely free.
As I was photographing the sunset to send my friend, two beings walked onto the scene, adding an element of magic to the stage. I was stunned.
I loved the message of “giving and receiving” in the photograph. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was the message her spirit wanted to deliver to me and her son.
As I snapped the photograph, I received a text message from someone I hadn’t heard from in over six months. It was someone that I had dated during the first six months of 2014. As hard as I had tried, my heart would not allow me to let go of this person, so receiving a message from him at this very moment was very special to me on many different levels. It felt like the photos captured that moment, too. Several minutes later, the full moon in Cancer appeared over the horizon.
As the moon continued to climb in the night sky, I noticed an ice halo had formed, which complemented the halo that appeared around the Sun in mid-December.
The halo was a perfect ending for full moon ceremony No. 10.
It was time to prepare for the next new moon, January 20, and the next full moon, February 3, 2015.
