Day 9 – 21: Eradicate Plague
I became excited when I chose No. 21, Eradicate Plague. It was one of the most active and potent meditations, covering so many things that appear to be destroying our Earth and humankind.
I spent the morning deep-cleaning my truck, washing sheets, and towels, and reorganizing everything. I also managed to do a couple of loads of laundry. I had to be quick about it because I was meeting my new acquaintance at his office at noon for lunch.
David was in his office when I arrived. Another reason that my daily meditation was so spot on was that he worked for the Montana Gay Men’s Task Force. One of their goals was HIV prevention, and their mission was as follows:
“Working to provide sensitive, appropriate, and comprehensive health messages and interventions aimed at improving the overall health of gay & bisexual men in Montana. Our vision is to help gay & bisexual men create lives for themselves worth protecting with bold and fearless conviction.”
I discovered an exciting photograph on their About Us page as I explored their website. This photograph was a sign that I was headed in the right direction.
David also worked with gay Native Americans in the “Two Spirit” community.
Later that afternoon, after having lunch with David, I visited an ex-coworker friend who owned a local bed & breakfast. He wanted me to stop by the B&B to introduce myself and possibly tour the house.
When I arrived, I felt very much at home. It was a lovely place, and the owner and I connected instantly. In fact, after being there for about twenty minutes, I ended up doing a reading for her, which led us to an exciting conversation. I ran various charts for her and her family, and before we knew it, an hour and a half had passed.
As I was leaving, the owner introduced me to a friend who had just shown up for their daily walk. After a brief introduction, I agreed to do a reading for her the following morning at 11:00 a.m.
About an hour later, around 6:00 PM, I met David at his house, and the two of us went out to dinner at a restaurant named The Silk Road. The food was excellent. Delicious!
After dinner, we returned to David’s house. I said goodnight and returned to my campground for a good night’s rest. The following day, I prepared for the full moon and lunar eclipse.
