Day 8 – September 22, 2010
The first task of the morning was to choose my next daily meditation. Afterward, I spent the rest of my morning and early afternoon preparing for my family’s arrival in Las Vegas.
I picked them up at the Las Vegas airport at 4:00 PM, and we spent the rest of the evening checking them into their hotel and having dinner together.
Since I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my family, I decided to continue choosing a daily meditation card each morning during our time together but keep a very brief journal between September 23 and October 2, 2010. I would resume my normal journaling on October 3, when my family returned to North Carolina.
Day 9 – September 23, 2010
Day One with Family | Las Vegas, Nevada
On the first day with my family, I have included a walk down Las Vegas Blvd. They wanted to explore the various casinos. Since my 76-year-old uncle had never visited Las Vegas, we wanted to ensure he got to see as much as possible. I took the following photographs during our day together.
I went to bed in the back of my truck around 10:00 PM.
