March 22, 2012
On Thursday, March 22, I woke up in a Walmart parking lot in Abilene, Texas. I officially titled my van the “Dream Machine.” I could not recall a time in my life when I had so many different dreams. At times, it felt like attending an up-all-night movie festival.
This morning, I ushered in a new moon with the sign of Aries. I had been following the cycles of the moon since 2004, and I primarily focused on the energy surrounding new moons. I used new moons to cleanse my space and set new, positive intentions for the next two weeks until the full moon arrived. I figured that since we have learned to plan our lives around weather and the four seasons, following the cycles of the moon was not much different. It was very natural.
After my morning visit to Starbucks, I set out for Lubbock, Texas. I made a brief stop in Post, Texas, to stretch my legs and to check out the historic district.
While I was walking around, I happened into a gift shop, where I purchased a small white candle made of white sage and thyme. The candle caught my attention mainly because of its aroma. I left Post pleased with my purchase and continued to Lubbock. Once I arrived in Lubbock, I was again re-positioned on the 33rd Parallel.
I used Lubbock as my base for the day, and I used the new moon’s energy to cleanse my space and prepare for the next few days. The following morning, I planned to continue my journey across the Texas state line into New Mexico.
I drove to a nearby park to light the candle that I had purchased earlier in the day and to perform my daily invocation, Looks Can Kill: Protection From The Evil Eye.
With my candle burning brightly, I invoked from 8:20 to 8:40 PM.
This particular meditation brought up something for me. It forced me to look closer at something I had discovered earlier in the day while browsing the Internet.
I came across some additional information regarding the 33rd Parallel. It was apparent that it also had a shadow side.
“It is also related in a way to something known as Mystical Toponymy. Mystical Toponymy is the notion that there are powerful and sacred places on the earth. There is a theory based on coincidence that many events on earth, those events that result in mass death, societal upheaval or change happen at the 33rd NORTH parallel.”
Many scholars have created the notion that in the realm of dark forces, a bloody sacrificial ritual performed at the 33rd parallel has more power than rituals performed elsewhere. Throughout history, the 33rd degree parallel has been the place for what can be called “sacrifices” of human life.
White Sands Testing Range New Mexico, where the atom bomb was first tested and detonated. (White Sands, New Mexico was also the location where I wrote in the sand the words Love, Peace, Joy, and God, during my 72 Days of God journey.)
The Hale-Bopp comet was said to have had a companion “ship” following it, and at the same time, a large UFO was seen over Phoenix, Arizona (March 13, 1997) at about 33.24 – 32.34 North latitude. This event was known as the Phoenix Lights.
The “Heaven’s Gate” cult committed suicide from almost exactly the 33°30; N latitude in “Rancho Santa Fe,” North of San Diego. The group committed suicide on March 23, 1997, ten days after the Phoenix Lights.
The Roswell incident in 1947 where it is believed an extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed is on the 33rd parallel.
Before I began this journey, I seriously thought about starting it at Sunset Harbor, North Carolina. Sunset Harbor was where my family and I created some of my childhood’s fondest memories. Starting at a very young age, I spent every summer of my childhood in Sunset Harbor. Strangely enough, it is located on the 33rd Parallel. 33° 55′ to be exact. It appeared that even at a very young age, I had a strong connection to this so-called “mystery circle.”

I went to bed that night wondering why this information had come to me on the eve of driving to Roswell, New Mexico.
Was it my duty to visit these places and perform these invocations as a cleansing ritual? I wondered what exactly was going on. One thing was for sure: I was glad to have the 72 Names of God Angels by my side.
I went to sleep around 11:00 PM.
