I spent the early part of this day merely trying to wake up. I wasn’t sure if it was the long drive from the day before or the climate change, but I felt like I was in a complete fog. After publishing Day 37 of my journal and having lunch, I began searching out my next destination. After spending about an hour on the Internet, I finally decided to drive to Encinitas, California, the southernmost point of the 33rd Parallel.
A friend had told me about Encinitas after spending a vacation there with her family the week before. So, without knowing much about this place, I thought I would give it a try. After driving south for approximately 45 minutes, I finally arrived at Moonlight State Beach, which was one of the places she had mentioned. This place was incredibly beautiful but very crowded. It wasn’t exactly the environment I liked to place myself in for my meditations. The energy was too scattered and completely overwhelming. I walked around for a few minutes and left feeling lost and out of place. Frustrated, I searched for a free wi-fi hotspot to search out a different location.
After driving around for another hour, I eventually found a Starbucks. While at Starbucks, I went online and began investigating the surrounding area on Google Maps. My friend also told me about the “Self-Realization Fellowship Center,” which happened to be in the same neighborhood as Moonlight State Beach. After continuing my online search, I discovered I was less than a mile from the center. I returned to my van and drove to Swamis Seaside Park, a gorgeous park overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
I circled the parking lot for what must have been another hour trying to find a parking space. After waiting patiently for a family to load their beach gear and surfboards into their vehicle, I pulled in once they pulled away. Since the Swamis Seaside Park was next door to the center, I gathered my things, locked up my van, and headed there.
I had walked about 50 yards when Ricardo called to ask if I could do an impromptu card reading for him over the phone. He needed some guidance with his job. Without hesitation, I returned to my van and prepared for our reading. I called him back, and we did the consultation over the phone, out of the back of my van.
When the reading was over, I hung up the phone, gathered my things, locked up my van, and made my second attempt to visit the fellowship center.
Unfortunately, by this time, the center had closed for the day. Approximately 30 minutes later I found myself driving around to figure out where to go. Luckily, I found a Panera Bread. I still had two gift cards to Panera Bread that my friend back in North Carolina had gifted me on Day 1 of my journey.
I pulled into Panera Bread, had dinner, and spent the next couple of hours investigating various neighborhoods online. After my meal, I drove to my gym, where I enjoyed a relaxing swim and sauna. I then headed back to a Walmart parking lot to prepare for bed.
At this point, I realized that I had not done my daily meditation. I drove around several empty parking lots, searching for an excellent place to perform my invocation. I parked under a tree in front of Best Buy. (See letter A in the map below.) I pulled out my 72 Names of God book and invoked the “Circuitry” angel between 10:20 and 10:40 PM.

After I completed the meditation, I drove back across the street to the Walmart parking lot (See letter B on the map above) and went to sleep.
