My first stop was Ahote and Tuwa’s home at Second Mesa, where we spent an hour or so catching up on everything that had happened since I last visited during the Kachina dance in May 2015. During our visit, I made a point to remind Ahote, Tuwa, and myself that it had been close to 3 1/2 years since we had met during the extremely rare annular “Ring of Fire” solar eclipse of May 20, 2012. And so it was only befitting that we would spend the four Blood Moon eclipses of 2014 and 2015 together. For me, it felt predestined.
After our visit, I said goodnight, drove over to the Cultural Center, had a bite to eat, and prepared myself and my van for a night of camping. After I settled in, I lay in the back of my van and listened to my MP3 player. It was a beautiful, quiet, peaceful night.
Suddenly, while stretched out in the back of my van, I felt a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. The pain felt like it was coming from my appendix. As I was lying there trying to rub the pain away, a wave of fear washed over me, followed by a wave of gratitude. At that moment, I realized how lucky I had been over the last eighteen months to complete all of the ceremonies without being deterred by an illness or circumstance that could have easily prevented me from accomplishing my goals. And just as soon as the wave of gratitude washed over me, the pain in my abdomen disappeared. I guess the pain served its purpose, if only to remind me just how much I had accomplished over the last eighteen months. I fell asleep sometime afterward.
I woke up the following morning shortly after sunrise. I had a quick bite to eat in the Cultural Center and then headed down to Ahote’s fields to meet him and his son to help with the harvest. We then spent the next couple of hours harvesting corn. Once we filled the bed of Ahote’s truck up with corn…
We returned to Ahote and Tuwa’s house on Second Mesa, where I had my second-morning breakfast. It was delicious.
After we all finished eating, Ahote and I drove to his sister’s house to pick up several of his nephews, who were 7, 9, 10, and 11 years old, so we could take them to the field to take their photographs. After we picked up his nephews, we drove back down to the field and set the stage for several photographs. Ahote drove his tractor while I drove his truck. His four nephews stood in the back of the truck as we drove through the fields, trying to pick corn as we passed by.
I had a lot of fun making the truck bounce up and down. Their laughter brought me so much joy. It reminded me of how I used to have fun with my nieces and nephews growing up in North Carolina. After we took all the photographs, Ahote decided to take us on some adventure. Tuwa had recommended that Ahote take me to where their ancestors once lived, on a different mesa on Hopi Land. This place was considered extremely sacred.
After driving for about 20 miles, we came to a turnoff that led to a dirt road. We drove down this dirt road for what must have been at least ten miles or so. During our drive, we encountered a deer, which excited Ahote. I could tell that this was a very positive sign for him, and I felt blessed to be with him during the deer’s sudden appearance.
A few minutes later, we reached our destination, where we had to park and hike for the rest of the way. We all got out of the truck and began our walk to the sacred ruins. I followed close behind while Ahote and his four nephews walked in front.
Once we reached the sacred ruins, Ahote turned to me and said to pay close attention to the land’s energy. He told me I would walk away from this hike with a tremendous download of powerful energy. Without even asking, I knew photographs were forbidden.
Without going into much detail, something life-changing happened when I laid my hand on his youngest nephew’s head. That’s when I knew I was in the presence of someone very special.
Sometime later, after walking along the edge of the mesa and the ruins, we returned to Ahote’s truck and returned to Second Mesa. I sometimes felt like we were driving through parts of Africa; the scenery was stunning. Ahote dropped me off at the Cultural Center around 4:00 PM, and I checked into room 105 for the night. Since I had not bathed in two days, I checked into my room and immediately freshened up with a hot shower. I got dressed, grabbed all of my ceremony tools, and headed to the same spot where I performed the Third Blood Moon ritual on April 3 and 4, 2015.
After arriving at the location, I parked my van, got out, and explored. I quickly discovered that all of the items that I had left behind on April 3 had been thoroughly washed away, except for the stone with “www.thetransfigurationofchrist.com” engraved on the surface.
I thought this was very interesting. After finding a large stick, I sketched the same diagram I had drawn back in April onto the surface of the mesa.
This time, however, I sketched out the Hopi “Circle of Life” symbol in the middle.
I then placed the shaman stone I had used in my new moon ceremony a couple of weeks earlier in the circle representing the current world.
I placed my red hat in its final resting place, in the middle of the second Circle of Life symbol.
And as the sun was setting in the west, I performed my final prayer.
LUNAR PRAYER
Heavenly Creator, we ask you for your love and advice. We ask that you bless us with an open heart, a clear mind, and a pure spirit so that we may serve you and live in harmony with every creature on Earth and all living beings throughout the Universe. Please allow us to open our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your infinite, unconditional love and compassion. With gratitude. Amen.
TWIN HEARTS LUNAR PRAYER Portions of this prayer were inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui and his Twin Hearts Meditations for Pranic Healing
- Tap the top of your head to bring attention to your crown chakra
- Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
- Relax. While slowly counting to 7, inhale peace, love, and light through your mouth and into your body and spirit.
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
- While slowly counting to 7, exhale all anger, resentment, and negativity through your nose.
- Once again, hold your breath for 7 seconds.
(Repeat this exercise two more times. Relax and breathe normally at the end of the third breathing exercise.)
Then, raise your hands to chest level with your palms facing outwards. Imagine all the people you love in front of you as you channel God’s loving energy through your crown chakra, directing this loving energy through the palms of your hands. Shower everyone you know and love with this beautiful, loving energy. Hold that thought, then imagine the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, and all of the stars in the Universe in front of you as you project waves of this beautiful, loving energy throughout the Universe. Imagine these beautiful waves of energy touching every living thing in Heaven and on Earth. Hold this thought for several moments. Then, bring your attention back to Planet Earth.
Repeat the following prayer silently in your mind;
“Dear Heavenly Creator, I pray that all stones, plants, animals, and beings born on Planet Earth prepare for a significant re-balancing and purification. I also pray for all the creatures of the seas, land, and air and ask that they all return to perfect health.
I pray that you, the Creator, recognize the fact that Planet Earth and all of its inhabitants have a lot of nurturing and Love to offer, not only to the Earth but also to the other planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I ask that all the Unconditional Love on Earth be sent out into our Solar System and Universe.
I send out a prayer asking all of our ancestors from the heavens and the stars to return to Mother Earth to help with the re-balancing. I let them know that the time is now. I ask that the purification take place in a non-judgmental manner and that the energy of Unconditional Love is present at all times.”
Repeat the Buddhist Prayers for the Earth as you focus on the following areas of the Earth to help cleanse and prepare the Earth for healing:
- While projecting the color indigo and concentrating on the third-eye chakra, the space between your eyes, place your consciousness at the Hopi Indian Reservation and say: “From the point of Light within the mind of God, let Light stream forth into the minds of all mankind, especially those who believe they hold all the power on earth.“
- Then, project violet through your crown chakra while focusing on Tibet. Then say: “Let Light descend on earth.“
- Now, focus on the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Mound of Olives. Project the color blue through your throat chakra and say, “From the point of Love within the Heart of God, let Love stream forth into the hearts of mankind. Especially those that have never known true love before.”
- Then, move your attention to Mount Shasta, California, project red through your root chakra or the area at the base of your spine, and say: “May mankind return Christ Consciousness to the earth.”
- Then, travel in your mind to Ayers Rock and the Olgas in Australia. Project yellow through your solar plexus chakra, the area between your ribs, and say, “From the center where the Will of God is known…“
- Then, return your consciousness across the Pacific Ocean to Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. Project orange through your navel chakra and say: “Let purpose guide the little wills of mankind..“
- Then travel in your mind to Glastonbury, Scotland. Project the color green through your heart chakra and say: “The purpose which the Masters know and serve.“
- Return your attention to the Great Pyramids and the Mound of Olives while projecting blue out of your throat chakra and say: “From the center which we call the race of mankind, let the plan of Love and Light work out.“
- Return your attention to Tibet, project the color violet through your crown chakra, and say: “And may it seal the door where evil lives.“
- Then, return your consciousness to Hopi, project indigo through your third-eye chakra, and say: “So it is written, so it is done!.“
Then, sit quietly for 7 minutes. Breathe slowly and silently, repeating “Om” or “Amen” while projecting waves of unconditional love throughout the earth, the solar system, and the universe. Relax and just let go. After 7 minutes, return your consciousness to your body and its location on the earth. Take several deep breaths, then close with the following prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Creator, we humbly thank you for your love and affection. We thank you for blessing us with a loving heart, intelligent mind, and willful spirit so that we may now go forward and serve you and live in harmony with every living creature on the earth and throughout the universe. Thank you for opening our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your unconditional love and compassion. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, Amen.” – Prayers and Meditations inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui.
Once my meditation was complete, I quickly returned to my van and set out for another location I had visited several years ago. However, I stopped briefly to photograph my ceremonial grounds, which included the setting sun, the shaman stone, the red hat, and the engraved stone.
I then returned to the spot where I had performed the “Unity” meditation on August 15, 2012, Day 48 of the 72 Days of Angel’s Journey. And with the sun setting in the west over Third Mesa…
And the full, eclipsed moon rising east over the First Mesa…
I once again prayed for the Unity of all mankind. I then met Ahote in his cornfield, where he and I spent the next several hours sharing stories while sitting by a fire directly beneath the Milky Way and the eclipsed moon.
As the fire performed its magical dance, Ahote and I quietly recalled some of the things we had shared over the last 3 1/2 years. I wasn’t sure if it was the eclipsed moon, the millions of stars in the night sky, or the fire that had such a strong effect on me, but I was somehow able to recall all of those things that I had intended to share with him during some of my previous visits but forgot. So, by the end of the night, it felt like he and I could express everything we had always wanted to say to one another.
At one point, I got the nerve to ask him about the Blue Star Kachina mentioned in one of the Hopi prophecies, and without hesitation, he told me what it meant. I was utterly blown away by what he said because I could share how that related to me personally. And with that, everything felt complete.
Shortly afterward, we both said our good nights; Ahote returned to his home in his village, and I returned to my room at the Cultural Center. The following morning, I sent Tuwa a text message thanking her and Ahote for everything they shared during my visit, especially their friendship. Her reply, which surprised me, read, “It’s a great honor to know you!”
I instantly replied, “The honor is all mine!“
