August 29, 2015—10:37 AM
On Friday, August 14, 2015, I returned to Dreamy Draw Park to perform the ceremony for the next-to-last new moon. Once I made it to the top of the hill, I humbly approached the throne and carefully placed my Hopi rattle and meditation crystal on the hot, flat surface…
…I invoked the six directions with the I am Light mantra, sat down, faced the Sun and the dark moon, and began my prayer. The Transfiguration of Christ Mountain was not far away.
I envisioned myself in the center of a huge torus field. With both palms facing outwards, I aimed my prayers toward the Sun and asked that they reflected back to Earth.
After completing my ceremony, I stood up, looked directly overhead, and snapped the following photograph. The clouds looked like giants lips, a big kiss from heaven.
The following day, Venus’s inferior conjunction took place at 11:00 AM Phoenix, Arizona time. On August 15th, a CME hit Earth’s magnetic field a full day earlier than expected. The impact triggered a strong G3-class geomagnetic storm. Two nights later, as the storm was subsiding, midnight skywatchers in North America witnessed a rare and beautiful form of Aurora–a “proton arc.”
On Friday, August 28, 2015, I set out on an impromptu trip to the California coast to perform full moon ceremony No. 17. Ricardo had invited me to where his mother lived to attend a party he and his family gave her for her 83rd birthday. He wanted me to drive his 2001 Toyota Tundra to California so he could try and sell it. And since it was the full moon weekend, I figured it was a perfect time to return to the 33rd parallel at South Laguna Beach to perform my next-to-last full moon ceremony.
It had been over three years since I visited South Laguna Beach. The last time I was there was Day 42 of the 72 Days of Angel’s Journey, July 23, 2012, the day after my 51st birthday. That location has been silently asking me to return for quite a while. The opportunity finally presented itself, and I took full advantage of it.
I departed Phoenix around 1:30 PM…
and I arrived in Irvine, California, just before sunset.
And as soon as I arrived, I was greeted by my favorite flower: a Bird of Paradise.
I spent the night in a hotel that I found online and set out for S. Laguna Beach the following morning. During my drive to the beach, I paid close attention to any signs that appeared before me. The only thing that stuck out was the memory of something that had taken place on Day 42 in 2012, something I had forgotten to include in my 72 Days of Angels journal.
I visited S. Laguna Beach in memory of my first lover, Thadeus. (His real name was Mark Petrangelo.) As I was departing the L. A. Fitness in Laguna Hills after my time on the beach, I witnessed a white dove fly directly overhead towards the setting sun. That experience was powerful for me, and why I had forgotten to include it in my journal was a complete mystery. According to Native American traditions, Dove offers the following medicine or wisdom:
- Brings peace and love
- Understanding of gentleness
- Spirit messenger
- Communicates between the two worlds
I arrived at S. Laguna Beach around 1:30 p.m. It felt great to be back. I approached the “Thousand Steps Beach” area and looked for a parking space. There were tons of surfers and youth walking up and down the highway, and the traffic was really heavy, so I figured my chances of finding a parking space were slim to none.
When I arrived in the area, I noticed this handsome guy get out of his car and walk across the highway directly in front of me. Physically, he reminded me of Thadeus. Then I noticed the car he got out of had a Michigan license plate. Thadeus was from Monroe, Michigan. This caught my eye very briefly before I had to quickly refocus my attention on the traffic and my search for a parking space.
I came up empty-handed in my first drive-by, so I went about a block past the Thousand Steps Beach access area, turned around, and drove back to the starting point. I then began my second attempt to find a parking space, driving slowly down the short stretch of highway. Once again, I came up empty-handed, so I drove past the access area, turned Ricardo’s truck around, and headed back up the highway to my starting point.
As I turned the truck around one last time, I decided that if I could not find a space on my third attempt, I would leave and pray elsewhere.
As fate would have it, space opened up exactly where I had parked in 2012. I parked Ricardo’s truck, gathered my things, and headed to the stairs leading down to the beach. Many people were going down the steps, and just as many were coming up. The steps were very narrow so I couldn’t pass anyone; we all had to go single-file. I felt like I was waiting for a ride at an amusement park.
I finally reached the bottom of the steps and walked onto the crowded beach. I immediately started looking for a shaded area to perform my ceremony. Unfortunately, no shade was to be found.
I walked up the beach and rounded a cove on the north end. I intuitively tuned into the energy of my surroundings and decided that I had found the perfect location. I just wanted to do the ceremony and get out of there. The Sun was too intense for my bald head and light skin. I accidentally left my hat in the truck!
I retrieved my Hopi rattle and meditation tools from my bag and began the following ceremony.
LUNAR PRAYER
Heavenly Creator, we ask you for your love and advice. We ask that you bless us with an open heart, a clear mind, and a pure spirit so that we may serve you and live in harmony with every creature on Earth and all living beings throughout the Universe. Please allow us to open our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your infinite, unconditional love and compassion. With gratitude. Amen.
TWIN HEARTS LUNAR PRAYER Portions of this prayer were inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui and his Twin Hearts Meditations for Pranic Healing
- Tap the top of your head to bring attention to your crown chakra
- Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
- Relax. While slowly counting to 7, inhale peace, love, and light through your mouth and into your body and spirit.
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
- While slowly counting to 7, exhale all anger, resentment, and negativity through your nose.
- Once again, hold your breath for 7 seconds.
(Repeat this exercise two more times. Relax and breathe normally at the end of the third breathing exercise.)
Then, raise your hands to chest level with your palms facing outwards. Imagine all the people you love in front of you as you channel God’s loving energy through your crown chakra, directing this loving energy through the palms of your hands. Shower everyone you know and love with this beautiful, loving energy. Hold that thought, then imagine the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, and all of the stars in the Universe in front of you as you project waves of this beautiful, loving energy throughout the Universe. Imagine these beautiful waves of energy touching every living thing in Heaven and on Earth. Hold this thought for several moments. Then, bring your attention back to Planet Earth.
Repeat the following prayer silently in your mind;
“Dear Heavenly Creator, I pray that all stones, plants, animals, and beings born on Planet Earth prepare for a significant re-balancing and purification. I also pray for all the creatures of the seas, land, and air and ask that they all return to perfect health.
I pray that you, the Creator, recognize the fact that Planet Earth and all of its inhabitants have a lot of nurturing and Love to offer, not only to the Earth but also to the other planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I ask that all the Unconditional Love on Earth be sent out into our Solar System and Universe.
I send out a prayer asking all of our ancestors from the heavens and the stars to return to Mother Earth to help with the re-balancing. I let them know that the time is now. I ask that the purification take place in a non-judgmental manner and that the energy of Unconditional Love is present at all times.”
Repeat the Buddhist Prayers for the Earth as you focus on the following areas of the Earth to help cleanse and prepare the Earth for healing:
- While projecting the color indigo and concentrating on the third-eye chakra, the space between your eyes, place your consciousness at the Hopi Indian Reservation and say: “From the point of Light within the mind of God, let Light stream forth into the minds of all mankind, especially those who believe they hold all the power on earth.“
- Then, project violet through your crown chakra while focusing on Tibet. Then say: “Let Light descend on earth.”
- Now, focus on the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Mound of Olives. Project the color blue through your throat chakra and say, “From the point of Love within the Heart of God, let Love stream forth into the hearts of mankind. Especially those that have never known true love before.”
- Then, move your attention to Mount Shasta, California, project red through your root chakra or the area at the base of your spine, and say: “May mankind return Christ Consciousness to the earth.”
- Then, travel in your mind to Ayers Rock and the Olgas in Australia. Project yellow through your solar plexus chakra, the area between your ribs, and say, “From the center where the Will of God is known…“
- Then, return your consciousness across the Pacific Ocean to Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. Project orange through your navel chakra and say: “Let purpose guide the little wills of mankind..“
- Then travel in your mind to Glastonbury, Scotland. Project the color green through your heart chakra and say: “The purpose which the Masters know and serve.“
- Return your attention to the Great Pyramids and the Mound of Olives while projecting blue out of your throat chakra and say: “From the center which we call the race of mankind, let the plan of Love and Light work out.“
- Return your attention to Tibet, project the color violet through your crown chakra, and say: “And may it seal the door where evil lives.”
- Then, return your consciousness to Hopi, project indigo through your third-eye chakra, and say: “So it is written, so it is done!.“
Then, sit quietly for 7 minutes. Breathe slowly and silently, repeating “Om” or “Amen” while projecting waves of unconditional love throughout the earth, the solar system, and the universe. Relax and just let go. After 7 minutes, return your consciousness to your body and its location on the earth. Take several deep breaths, then close with the following prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Creator, we humbly thank you for your love and affection. We thank you for blessing us with a loving heart, intelligent mind, and willful spirit so that we may now go forward and serve you and live in harmony with every living creature on the earth and throughout the universe. Thank you for opening our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to your unconditional love and compassion. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, Amen.” – Prayers and Meditations inspired by Master Choa Kok Sui.
As I stood there performing my ceremony, I noticed that the same guy who had crossed the street in front of me while I was searching for a parking space—the guy from the car with the Michigan license plate—walked directly in front of me. I stopped my prayer for a few seconds to take his photograph.
I then continued. A few moments later, the young man passed by for the second time, and that’s when I felt something strange in the matrix.
I continued with my ceremony, realizing that out of all of my full moon meditations, this was the only one I chose to perform in the middle of the day. I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant, but I didn’t give it much thought. As I got to the last part, my inner guidance informed me to save the last portion while climbing the steps. So, I instantly began walking back toward the access area to exit the beach. I took a moment to write the following message in the sand before leaving.
I returned to the steps, took several deep breaths, continued praying, and began climbing the 223 steps from the beach to the street. By the time I reached the top of the steps, I was sweating profusely, thinking that everyone around me must have thought I had a heart attack. It was a metaphor for everything I had accomplished over the last many years during my various journeys.
I finished my ceremony at the top of the steps, walked across the highway, and returned to Ricardo’s truck. I started the truck, sat in the air conditioning for about five minutes, pulled out of my parking space, drove down the highway about a block, turned the truck around, and headed back in the direction I came from. As soon as I passed the access area, I noticed the guy I had seen at various times during my visit walking directly beside Ricardo’s truck. He was heading back to his car with the Michigan license plates.
Considering the timing of everything between searching for the parking space, walking down the steps, searching for a spot on the beach to perform my prayer, performing the ritual, and climbing the steps back up to the street, all in a very crowded place, I thought the chances of seeing this guy more than once was nothing less than a miracle. No one else in the crowd stuck out to me at all. I swear I felt like this guy was a walk-in from another dimension. That’s what I felt intuitively.
Coupled with the three-year-old memory of the white dove, the sighting of the young man, or sentinel, had to be why my soul kept begging me to return to S. Laguna Beach. And with that, I now felt a sense of closure.
Once I found Interstate 5, I drove north to Interstate 10, left the 33rd parallel, and then drove up Highway 1 through Santa Monica and Malibu.
I arrived at Ricardo’s mother’s birthday party a few hours later. I safely delivered Ricardo’s truck to him, spent twenty-four hours visiting with his family, and returned to Phoenix on Monday, August 31, 2015, at 2:30 AM. The full moon ceremony, No. 17, was now complete.
It was time to prepare for the last new moon ceremony, scheduled for September 12, 2015, and the last full blood moon, scheduled for September 27, 2015.
