My day started fairly early but was a little bumpy in the beginning. I remained focused and tried to stay positive. Once again, I loved my daily meditation and was encouraged by how it related to the other meditations. Everything appeared to be headed in a very positive direction.
Once my day started, I headed across town for my reading at 11:00 AM. I was six minutes late. Once we both were able to ground ourselves, we began the reading. It lasted for two hours. The two of us connected in very positive ways, and it was my feeling that she left the reading completely transformed. I was transformed, too. Her deceased mother came through in the reading, which left both of us in tears.
After our reading, I drove to downtown Missoula for a bite to eat and spent the next several hours working online. In the meantime, I “skyped” a couple of family members to catch up on what was going on in their lives. I then received an email from David asking me to come over for dinner. I accepted his offer and planned to meet him around 6:30 PM.
I met David at his house at 6:30. We talked for the next few hours while he prepared dinner. I took the time to enjoy the incredible view outside his apartment.
Deer brings the following wisdom:
- gratitude,
- listening,
- friendship,
- gentleness,
- survival.
While David prepared dinner, I asked him if he would be willing to participate in an exercise later that evening, after sunset. Since it was the full moon, I wanted to set some clear intentions. I wanted to write these intentions on separate pieces of paper and then burn all of them, along with my credit card receipts from my journey, to hand everything over to the Universe. I shared with him how I had performed the same exercise during my 72 Days of God journey and how my bills got paid sometime later. I knew this was a potent full moon, especially for me, so I wanted to take advantage of it. He said that he would gladly participate.
We then sat down for a delicious dinner. I was impressed with David’s cooking and grateful for his hospitality and willingness to go out of his way to prepare such a wonderful meal.
After dinner, we took a few minutes to write down our seven intentions. I went to my truck to retrieve all of my credit card receipts. We then laid out a sleeping bag on the back patio, lit a couple of tea candles, and began burning our paper pieces in a clay pot. We took turns placing our paper and credit card receipts in the fire. Once everything burned, we took a moment to be silent and thankful.
It was at this exact moment that I noticed something unusual. I looked at the mountain behind David’s apartment and saw a beautiful white glow behind the horizon. We both could sense that the full moon was getting ready to appear.
This night would be the first time in my life that I had watched a full moon rise over the horizon, and I was excited.
We sat quietly in anticipation, and then suddenly, the moon began to appear. It was magical.
Afterward, I could feel another shift in my life and my journey. I was so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to experience this night, especially with another soul. This night would be a night that I would not soon forget.
I returned to my campground later that evening and went to bed sometime after midnight.
