Ricardo and I began this day with the intention of working in his backyard: cleaning his pool, cutting back overgrown plants, and sweeping.
Before we got started, however, Ricardo wanted to go to the local swap meet to look for a raft in case we decided to go to a nearby lake the following weekend.
After we paid our entry fee of $2.00, we spent the next hour or so walking around the flea market, visiting various vendors, and browsing through the items for sale. Once we finished at the flea market, we headed to one of Ricardo’s favorite restaurants for a bite.
Ricardo had been sharing with me his dream of starting a business that would help all indigenous people in Mexico and throughout the world connect with people over the Internet to sell their goods and make a good living.
Ricardo didn’t think it was fair that business people purchased these goods at a penny on the dollar and then turned around and made huge profits. He wanted the profits to go directly to the people who made the crafts. I admired this trait in Ricardo so very much. I knew it had to be one of the reasons that the two of us had met.
I then began to share with him my dream of spreading Unconditional Love around the planet and building a non-profit healing center in the Oregon area. He also loved that idea and added to that his vision of having healing centers worldwide.
Were our dreams real or just illusions?
After talking about it a little bit further, we wondered if this new business would be a good way to promote both ideas simultaneously. We both felt really inspired by our conversation, which was a perfect complement to my daily meditation.
After lunch, we returned to Ricardo’s house, and I ran a Business Compatibility Chart for the both of us.
After sharing the chart with Ricardo, we both agreed that perhaps we were meant to work together at some point in the future.
We spent the next several hours working in Ricardo’s backyard. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. I felt like I was home. It was a much-needed change, especially after spending so much time traveling around the country in my truck.
We stopped working around 5:00 PM, took the time to have a beer, shower, and change clothes, and then headed over to Storm Wisdom for their monthly drumming circle. It had been over two years since I had played a drum, and Ricardo had never drummed at all.
After grabbing a quick bite to eat, we arrived at the drumming circle on time and spent the next few hours jamming with some local like-minded folks from the Phoenix area. Both of us had a perfect time. Ricardo commented that he was exhausted after working in his backyard, but the drumming gave him a new burst of energy.
10-10-10 had turned out to be an excellent day for us both.
