JUNE
Vision Quest Part 1 – June 1: The first vision quest included a visit to the sacred tree located at the following coordinates.

The tree was located within 200 yards of where a photo was taken of my mom, dad, and brother back in 1945, sixteen years before I was born. My oldest brother told me that my father was in the army when the photograph was taken, and they lived in the same housing complex where I currently reside. The numbers listed in the latitude above led me to believe that my mother’s spirit was still guiding me on my odyssey.
Vision Quest Part 2 – June 3: I heard the calls of Cardinals, Woodpeckers, and many other types of birds. Regretfully, I witnessed a military helicopter fly directly overhead. Suddenly, I was struck with an overwhelming feeling of dread, but the beautiful scenery brought me back to a state of bliss.

Vision Quest Part 3 – June 5: I managed to squeeze in a bike trip around the lake in between two intense thunderstorms. I quickly made my way around to the sacred tree, feeling extremely grateful for my life. As I continued around the lake, I came upon two hawks chasing one another in the trees directly overhead, precisely where I had seen the military helicopter two days earlier. I immediately thought about the infighting that had just broken out between our President and his car salesman.

Quest Part 4 – June 7: As I made my way around the lake on this day, I heard three Owls calling out to one another on the eastern side of the lake. I made my way around to the sacred tree, recharged, and rounded the northern end of the lake, where I heard two additional Owls. I passed a bridge in the park that had recently been painted in rainbow colors…

I completed my quest a few minutes later and learned about the conflict between immigration agents and protestors in California, in the City of Angels. Uranus was scheduled to move into Gemini one month later, and already, the energy of civil unrest was beginning to build.
Quest Part 5 – June 9: The subject of death arose when my 82-year-old ex sister-in-law, my older brother’s first wife, passed away at 1:40 am after living with dementia for the last five years of her life. She was the mother of the niece whom I moved back to North Carolina to help with the apartment. This particular sister-in-law had always been very special to me; she helped my mother name me when I was born and was one of a few people in my family who accepted my being gay when I came out in the 1980s. She and I had a special connection.
After spending most of the day with my niece, I returned home around 7:30 to embark on vision quest No. 5. No sooner than I had left the house a small gray car passed by, slowed down, and the driver stuck his head out of his window and said, “I just want you to know that I am proud of you, I love you, and have a great evening!” I had never experienced anything like that before, and the strangest part was that the guy reminded me of my sister-in-law, who had just passed away. The experience left me utterly dumbfounded.
Smiling from ear to ear, I continued my bike ride around the lake to the sacred tree, grounded myself and recharged my energy, and spent the last part of my ride gathering pine cones to fill a vase that once belonged to my deceased sister-in-law. To honor her. She loved pine cones.

I wrote the following for my niece. “You may feel as though your mother has abandoned you, but don’t believe that tale. She has stepped aside to provide you with enough space to learn more about yourself. And as you grow, she quietly watches over you as you become wise beyond your years.”
Quest Part 6 – June 11: I embarked on my next trip around Dragon Lake a couple of hours before sunset. After visiting the sacred tree, I continued around the lake. As I approached the area where I had seen the military helicopter and the two hawks, I crossed paths with a family exiting their parked car next to the bike path. I had to be very careful to avoid the young boy who had jumped out of the backseat without looking. I was reminded of a video I had seen several hours earlier, which had left me in tears and extremely angry.

Quest Part 7 – June 13: Cycling counterclockwise around the lake, everything was quiet and very peaceful. A long, steady rain had just ended. I stopped at the sacred tree to recharge and noticed a distinct clearing around the base of the trunk. It appeared as though the torus field had pushed away debris in all directions.
While connecting with the tree, I asked that the remaining part of my ride reveal to me what would take place the very next day during the military parade in DC and nationwide protests. I got back on my bike and continued around the lake.

As I approached my home, notifications on my phone began to go off one after the other. Then my phone rang, and it was my niece. She was frantic. She and her husband were at the emergency room at the nearby hospital. She was screaming for me to come right away. I rushed home, got in my car, and drove straight to the hospital, which was just a mile away. By the time I arrived, things had calmed down.
On my way home, I passed an abandoned vehicle on the side of a very dark road and an elderly woman walking down the street. I stopped the car, put it in reverse, rolled down the window, and asked the lady if she was okay. She had run out of gas. I asked her if I could drive her somewhere. It turned out she was a neighbor and lived close by, but it was too far and too dark to walk on her own. She got in my car and I drove her to her apartment, where she then called someone to assist her with her vehicle.
My niece called about an hour later to say that the tests revealed that her husband had a blood clot in his right lung. They prescribed medication and sent them both home sometime later.
Considering everything that happened after consulting the sacred tree, June 14, 2025, looked very chaotic. A few hours later, news of the Democratic House Leader and her husband being fatally shot in Minnesota came out, among other troublesome incidents.
Quest Part 8 – June 15: This particular ride around the lake was quiet, peaceful, and pleasantly uneventful.

Quest Part 8 – June 17: An impulsive solar flare measuring X1.2 erupted from Active Region 4114 at 5:49 EST on June 17, 2025.

I left the house for my next ride around the lake a few hours later at 8:30 PM. It was a beautiful, quiet evening. All I heard were the sounds of cicadas, crickets, birds, and frogs. Meanwhile, elsewhere…

Quest Part 9 – June 19: Sunspot region 4114 produced an X1.9 solar flare at 7:50 EDT and was associated with a minor coronal mass ejection (CME).

I embarked on my next trip around the lake a few minutes later. After spending time with the sacred tree, I noticed a lot of bats on my ride home—too many to count. In many Native American cultures, bats are associated with intuition, transitions, and the spirit world. They are often seen as symbols of night, the unseen realms, and the ability to navigate effectively through darkness. Bats are also linked to dreams, rebirth, and communication, and can represent inner depth and the ability to see beyond illusions.

Quest Part 10 – June 21: This part of June’s Vision Quest was interesting. I had spent an earlier part of the day returning to the 33rd parallel at Kure Beach seeking inspiration for Prayer No. 3. Standing knee deep in the surf on my Neptune line, a wave snuck up on me, knocked me down, and completely immersed me in the Atlantic Ocean.
This occurred while the constellation Orion rose on the eastern horizon and the constellation Ophiuchus was setting on the western horizon. Covered in salt water and sand, I felt completely revived.
Paradoxically, on June 21 EST and June 22 Iran time, the United States Air Force and Navy attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran as part of the Iran–Israel war, under the code name Operation Midnight Hammer.
I returned home sometime later and set out on my next bike ride around Greenfield Lake. It was completely dark as I used my new headlight to light my way. After visiting the sacred tree, I continued around the lake and happened upon a couple having sex on the side of the path, in the dark. As they scrambled to put on their clothes, the woman said out loud that she thought someone was running towards them with a flashlight, and was surprised to discover it was me on a bicycle. We all laughed as I peddled past them nonchalantly.
As I rounded the path toward home, a helicopter rushing to the nearby hospital flew overhead.
Three things came to mind from this journey around the lake. 1) That couple had to be covered in mosquito bites. Someone was itching to make love. 2) Make love, not war! 3) It’s an emergency, but we are being rescued.
Quest Part 11 – June 23: While the entire state of North Carolina was under a heat advisory, I completed another trip around the lake. The air was so thick I could almost taste it. The ride was slow and uneventful. Thankfully.
I was scheduled to embark on my next ride around the lake two days later, on June 25, but decided to stay home. It was much too hot, and my body was telling me to take it easy. While browsing various streaming channels that evening, I found a video on YouTube lasting 1:43:22 and titled “A Different Perspective on the Hopi Creation Story” with Thomas O. Mills.
Many aspects of this video caught my attention. Especially the 12:03 mark, where he explained the 25,920 cycle of the sun. That time frame matched the 26,000-year alignment that I experienced at Hopi on May 20, 2012, and the Yuga Cycle mentioned in March. He also noted that the Hawk in Hopi and Egyptian traditions represents our current 4th world. Since the Hawk had been my spirit animal and mascot throughout my entire adventure, this resonated deeply with me. At the 13:02 time stamp, he began speaking about the Serpent Mound in Peebles, Ohio. I wondered if a trip to Ohio was in order.
Quest Part 11 – June 26: I resumed my series of vision quests on June 26th. As I rounded the first corner of Greenfield Lake, I saw an old friend whom I had not seen in months and had presumed dead.

This cat belonged to my neighbor and greeted me the first day I arrived in Wilmington in October 2023. He hung out around my apartment daily, as I fed him canned Tuna regularly. The cat disappeared in March 2025, and everyone in the neighborhood assumed that it had either run off, been killed in a car accident, or fallen prey to an alligator. In ancient Egypt, cats were highly revered and held a special place in society, often associated with divinity, protection, and good fortune. They were not just pets but were seen as symbols of deities like Bastet, the goddess of protection, and were even believed to possess magical qualities. The cat reappeared on this day in late June as if to deliver the message, “What once was thought to be dead is still alive.” I immediately thought of my connection to Hopi and the Serpent Mound in Ohio. Perhaps my work with the Hopi was not complete.
I arrived at the sacred tree a few minutes later. I recharged myself, asked for additional wisdom, and continued my quest around the lake. As I arrived home, I saw the new crescent moon hanging on the western horizon.
Quest Part 12 – June 28: Owls hooting. Bats flying. Cicadas singing in stereo, all while escorted by a crescent moon.
Quest Part 13 – June 30: I embarked on the last Vision Quest of June 2025 a few minutes before sunset. The air was warm and thick with high humidity. I made my way around to the sacred tree without incident. I placed my left hand on the tree and said, “Any last thoughts? If there is any more wisdom that you would like to bestow on me, now would be the time. Speak to me between now and the time I arrive home.” I removed my hand from the tree, grabbed my bike’s handlebars, and pushed off in suspense.
As I rounded the lake, I stopped to take the following photograph, which felt very tranquil.

As I continued around the lake, nothing significantly grabbed my attention. But then on the home stretch, I suddenly noticed something out of the corner of my left eye. I stopped my bike, turned around, and discovered an owl perched in a nearby tree.
No sooner than I located the owl, a second owl flew by and perched itself on a nearby flagpole. As soon as the second owl left the flagpole, the first owl took flight and landed on the same flagpole. The owl remained on the flagpole long enough for me to capture the following photographs.

And then, in the blink of an eye, it took flight as if to follow the second owl.

As I got back on my bike to complete my ride, a third owl flew overhead to join the first two. It felt as though these three owls were following me. Three owls. The third night of the crescent moon in Cancer. The flag of the United States of America, a country founded under the sign of Cancer.
My Vision Quest of June 2025 was complete. It informed me that the majority of the people of the United States were under a spell of misinformation. Wisdom, represented by the owl, had taken flight and now had to find its way through the darkness into the light. Since the number 3 vibrates with the planet Jupiter, transformation, optimism, movement, expansion, and the Holy Trinity of the mind, body, and spirit were needed to move forward.
