Day Four with Family | Zion National Park, Utah
After checking out of our hotel, we filled my truck with gas and headed northeast on Interstate 15. We drove 3.5 hours from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Zion National Park, Utah.

I saw two hawks during our drive to Zion. We arrived at Zion National Park around 2:00 PM. We checked into our hotel room and then went to the park for sightseeing. It was a beautiful, sunny day.
While stopping at the lodge to buy postcards, we saw a wild turkey out on the front lawn.

While stopping at one of the several stops in the park, I came across a really interesting insect. It looked like a cross between a very large housefly and a bumble bee, but I had no idea what this strange insect was called.
After we finished our tour of Zion, we stopped in town for a lovely dinner and then took the city bus back to our hotel. After visiting my family’s hotel rooms, I slept outside in my truck. A giant, bright green grasshopper jumped on my leg as I walked towards my vehicle.
Grasshopper brings the following message:
• Jumps across space and time
• Leaps of faith
• Jumping without knowing where you will land
• Astral travel
• Leaping over obstacles
• New leaps forward

I crawled into the back of my truck and went to sleep shortly afterward.
