AFTERWORDS
After having lived out every 72 Names of God meditation, I spent the next several weeks patiently waiting to see what changes, if any, would take place in my life. I realized that studying Kabbalah required much more commitment and dedication and was a lifetime of learning, but I figured my journey was unique. So, I hoped that it would perhaps bring about some small personal transformation.
On May 5, 2010, I began to notice some of the issues that showed up during my journey started to resolve:
1) I stopped in to visit a friend who was a dentist to see if she would look at my chipped tooth and was informed that I most definitely needed a crown. However, she needed some work on her website, so she offered to do my crown as an even trade. I couldn’t even express how relieved I was. Later that evening, my sister, brother-in-law, and I visited my mother’s baby brother, Uncle Seth. We all had a pleasant visit, and he gave me enough money to pay off my credit card, and my sister helped, too. I looked at these gifts as small miracles somehow attributed to my journey and the message I had written in the sand asking my mom’s spirit to send money. God works in mysterious ways.
2) Through various conversations with friends and family, I figured out that the pain that I had been experiencing in my left foot was Plantar fasciitis. I suppose it came from so much driving. Once I figured out the problem, I began working on it.
3) All of the prayers and light sent toward my niece in Wilmington had taken effect, and her life had turned around almost instantly. Her frame of mind had changed drastically since our visit on April 26 (Day 69). I was so happy to see these changes in her.
On the evening of May 13, 2010, I posted the tenth response to my 72 Days of God survey.
Date of Reading: May 13, 2010
Participant’s Name: Dan
Dan’s Birthdate: 8/2/1964
Dan’s answers to the 72 Days of God questions:
1) Do you believe in God? If so, based on which religion or spiritual practice? If not, why? No, the idea of god doesn’t make any sense to me. it’s a smoke screen to the real answer to questions and a false answer to unanswerable questions. some of the things i believe though may be the same thing that someone else calls god. For example, I would never call the ocean, nature, or the physical order to the universe god. I think the term is worn out, creates confusion, and needs to be retired.
2) What does the concept of God mean to you? Charlatanism, dishonesty, desperation, hypocrisy.
3) What do you feel is the purpose of life on earth? Life is what you make it.
4) What are you most passionate about and what do you wish to accomplish with your life? Truth, good.
5) What do you truly believe happens when you die? Nothing. It’s over.
Thanks for your response, Dan! I appreciate your input.
